Sadly, the 2020 SYC Parent Performance has been cancelled on November 2nd. We have had a great season working together as a team and accomplishing our goals. We will continue to practice until our final game on Saturday, October 31st.
SYC Parent Performance Nov 2nd
Unfortunately, all local youth cheer competitions have been cancelled or are moving forward with uncertainty. This is disappointing to us because we have been working hard in preparation for these events. Gratefully, Skyridge High School is hosting a parent-performance at 7:00pm on November 2nd to celebrate the SYC cheer season and recognize each athlete. This event, along with playoff football games, still gives us much to work toward and look forward to!
Ticket information for the parent performance will be made available the week leading up to November 2nd. Each performer will be able to reserve two tickets for family. I will email information when it is available.
Pizza Fundraiser Pickup
Pizza orders will be available for pickup at 93 East 750 South in Lehi after 2:00pm on July 20th.
Skyridge Youth Cheer Camp
The Skyridge High School Cheerleaders & Stunt Crew are excited to host the 2020 Skyridge Youth Cheer Camp on August 4th, 5th, 6th at Skyridge High School from 5:00-8:00pm. Our team will learn game material and routines customized just for us! Youth camp is a time to bond together as a team, learn new skills, and experience the fun and energy of high school cheer! This is going to be a great event!
Sideline Chant Homework
For the next couple of weeks, we will focus on learning 20 sideline chants to perform at football games in the fall. The easiest way to do this is to give the girls a tiny bit of homework before every cheer practice. Starting Tuesday, June 30th, each girl needs to come to practice having learned the assigned chants at home before practice. This way, we can spend more time cleaning motions at practice to help the girls look their best in performance. The homework schedule is pictured below. - Camp-wear fitting 6:30pm, followed by getting-to-know-you activities until 8:00pm
- Cheer practice 6:00-8:00pm
